Three hundred years ago, Giuseppe Castiglione (1688-1766), a Jesuit missionary of Milan, Italy, came to China to preach. He made a landfall in Macao where he adopted a new name on Chinese ─ Lang Shining. Even though he came to China as a missionary, he became a full-time court painter thanks to his excellent art skills. As an artist, he served three Emperors, Kangxi, Yongzheng and Qianlong for 51 years.
Three hundred years have passed.
