Evoking Aura: Invoking Visionary Insights
People travel great distances to see extraordinary works of art and immerse themselves in the aura of time and space. However, the relocation of artworks from their original places, such as palaces, cathedrals, or temples, to museums, and the widespread reproduction of artworks through photography and printing techniques in the 19th century have caused the aura of the original to fade away.
Nowadays, digital technology has made it possible to closely examine artifacts, revealing textures and qualities that were previously invisible. The question is then, can technology be used to create a new aura of contemporary visual experience?
This exhibition showcases classic artifacts from the museum's collection through high-resolution images and 8K videos. It enhances the body's sensory experience through digital technology and creates unique encounters between viewers and artworks in the contemporary age of technology.
The exhibition is divided into three sections. “Microcosm Art World”, introduces the audience to the world of microcosmic objects using projector lighting effects. “Immerse aura”, creates an immersive theatrical experience using clear and realistic images of artifacts. “Chasing Light Motion”, visitors can enhance their understanding of the cultural relics through multi-functional digital installations. The exhibition invites visitors to experience the museum's collections in a new way by discovering the aura that exists under the gaze of technology.
