At Home and Beyond
In Taiwanese folk belief, gods are present everywhere—from Tudigong, the Earth God who watches over neighborhoods, to Zhong Kui, the demon-queller who wards off evil. These deities protect every corner of daily life, guide personal choices, and form an integral part of the social and domestic fabric.

Zhong Kui's Journey:A Digital Encounter with Zhong Kui
Inspired by portraits of Zhong Kui in the National Palace Museum’s collection, Zhong Kui's Journey digitally reinterprets three iconic chapters of this legendary figure: the frustrated scholar unrecognized for his talent, the demon-vanquishing guardian of the home, and the bringer of blessings accompanied by bat-like attendants. Through interactive tokens, visitors are invited to partake in Zhong Kui’s divine transformation and revisit the mythic grandeur of this folk protector.
