Bang! Something's happening in the world of the "Great Universal Map". Animals in it are running wild. What happened to these exotic animals? The call of the ancient map guides the animals drawn by Castiglione to an exciting adventure. The brave dogs from Ten Fine Hounds, and Long-haired Dog Beneath Blossoms, the lemur from Cochin Lemur and the deer from Auspicious Roe Deer, gathered the Ten Fine Hounds to work together to overcome obstacles they also learned to appreciate the spirit of Castiglione's art that combines Chinese and European techniques. This is the National Palace Museum's first 4K animation. Here we have gathered Taiwan's best animators to present Castiglione's art to the fullest under 4K resolution.
Galaxy Adventure of the NPM Guardians

This story is based on the Qing Dynasty painting, "Syzygy of the Sun, Moon and the Five Planets," by the artist Xu Yang. According to the story, the Directorate of the Imperial Observatory predicted that the sun, the moon and the five planets would line up at noon on the first day of the coming lunar year—an event known as a "syzygy." However, Officials were worried that prediction might not come true. Then Kuixing volunteered to contact the five planets to make sure that there wouldn't be any problems with the syzygy. But when he began searching for the planets, he heard that five treasures who had escaped from the NPM were playing in the planets. So Kuixing summoned the Guardians of the NPM, including the Hanuman monkey in blue under glaze and multicolored over glaze, the pottery figure of a lady playing polo, and the pottery pig from the Southern Branch of the NPM to help search for the five escaped treasures.
They faced various difficulties and fortunately overcame. As a result, they became friends with the guardian angels of the five planets. Ultimately, the treasures were found and the officials' prediction of the syzygy of the sun, moon and the five planets came true.
