Description

This inkstone box, in a purple bamboo-style, features a lid and body that clasp together via the body of the inkstone itself. The body of the box is purple, and the lid is embossed with a gray-green bamboo plant. The bamboo leaves are carved to appear as if they are looking up and down; one leaf bears signs of damage, whereas the gray-green leaves have natural ink spots scattered across them. The lid is shaped like a segment of a bamboo root, decorated with bamboo nodes and gray-green root remnants, and further adorned with markings of damage on the bamboo culm. The back of the box is smooth, coated with a layer of brown-yellow paint, making the box colors vibrant.
