Description

This red sandalwood box is elongated and oblong with a slightly concave middle. The entire body is intricately carved with fine, evenly spaced rope patterns. At the center, a double strand of thin rope is tied into a knot, creating a design that resembles a bundle of tightly bound thin ropes. The box has a unique shape, with precise carving and excellent craftsmanship. Also, the piece features smooth, simple lines alongside mechanically intricate carvings, each showcasing different carving techniques and their distinct and fascinating looks.
