Description
A pou is a type of bronze vessel used for storing liquor. This particular piece features a straight short neck, slanted shoulders, dual ring handles, a tapering belly, and a high foot ring. The body is decorated with geometric grid patterns defined by rope motifs, each grid containing finely detailed coiled serpent designs; the dual handles are fashioned in the form of upright sculpted beasts. Also, there are two rope patterns on the foot ring.
