Description
This copper-based enamel dish features Western landscapes and figures at the center, with three decorative bands painted along the sloping rim. The outer wall of the dish is adorned with three layers of scrollwork patterns in purple-red, black, and pink. The bottom of the dish is black, with intricate decorative patterns and a central white area containing the blue inscription “Made during the Qianlong era” written in regular script. Western landscapes in enamels typically include images of Nordic houses with pointed roofs and church buildings, likely influenced by European illustrated books brought over by missionaries since the late Ming dynasty.
