Description
This copper-based Zhadou with painted enamel features a wide flared mouth, slanted neck, and plump belly, leading down to a tall foot ring. The inner wall of the Zhadou is coated with a light blue glaze, whereas the neck of the Zhadou is painted with a band of banana leaf patterns on a yellow background, followed by a ring of red scrollwork. The belly of the vessel is based in white, densely painted with various lushly growing flowers in painted enamel, including lilies, morning glories, and plum blossoms. Inside the foot ring, there is a white square frame with the inscription “Made during the Qianlong era” in blue regular script.
