Description
This copper-bodied vessel features a two-tiered lid with a coin-shaped knob, connected via a pivot to the pot, which can be opened by pressing a button. The handle is formed from double-linked rings, and the base comprises a flattened round box and an outward-flaring trumpet-style foot ring. The interior is coated with a light blue glaze, while the exterior is white, with the lid knob decorated with a blue longevity symbol. Below the knob, leaf patterns and ruyi cloud motifs are adorned, surrounded by a ring each of daylilies, common peonies, and camellias. The body of the pot features a pair of phoenixes, with additional floral decorations below. The pot base inside is hollow and coated with light blue glaze. Both the shape and decorative style of the vessel are rich in Western artistic styles. This artifact is likely a cultural relic produced in Guangzhou in the late 18th century.
