Description

This vessel has a square belly and foot, and a round mouth. The neck is adorned with upward-facing leaf patterns, kui phoenix patterns, and elephant patterns.The belly is decorated with animal mask design and kui-dragon. The foot is adorned with bird patterns. There are three flanges each on the front and back of the vessel, with two flat handles on either side. At the bottom of the inner side of the belly, an inscription of 14 characters in 3 columns can be seen, describing how "Fu," the commissioner of this vessel, had this ceremonial vessel cast for the ancestral temple in commemoration of his late father, "Ri Xin."
