The National Palace Museum has worked for many years on combining the humanities with innovative technological application, promoting digital art education from an interdisciplinary perspective that conjoins the arts and technology.Co-organized bythe National Palace Museum and National ChiaoTung University and coinciding with the 60th anniversary of the NCTU's re-establishment, this exhibition is a significant milestone for the museum-school collaboration between NPM and NCTU. The theme "Techathon" is an integration of "Technology" and"Marathon", conveying the idea of the long-term interactive collaboration between the university and the museum.

The exhibition has chosen the images of the bamboo and the fox, inspired from NCTU's mascot, against the backdrop of the changing seasons as the unifying aesthetic theme to commune with NPM's new media art installations. The exhibition also showcases the collaborative efforts between NPM and NCTU, including the research projects of teachers and students from the Institute of Information Management, the Department of Computer Science, the Institute of Applied Arts, as well as "NPM Seminar", "NPM Artificial Intelligence" and "User Experience Design". Merging innovative concepts and creations with mystery puzzle solving, the exhibits on view include interactive installations, augmented reality, virtual reality, artificial intelligence, smart navigator, high definition videos, artifact replicas, etc. The diverse range of new media displays in this exhibition actively facilitates the dialogue between the humanities and technology, enabling the concept of the "public museum" to reach new heights.
