In order to promote cultural and academic exchanges between Taiwan and Hong Kong, the National Palace Museum (NPM) is presenting the "Museum Without Walls: Rebuilding the Tong-an Ships New Media Art Exhibition" in partnership with City University of Hong Kong (CityU). With a core principle of "Presenting a first-rate collection of Chinese art and cultural treasures to the world using the platform of technology," both ancient artifacts and new technology come together through the splendor of new media arts on the CityU campus, offering the latest results in the digitisation of artworks at NPM.
This exhibition is the outcome of a close collaboration between NPM and the School of Creative Media at CityU. The result is a dynamic exhibition design and many new interactive exhibits developed by artists at CityU. The exhibition also benefits from important contributions by the Hong Kong Maritime Museum.
